Inspect the pipe to ensure there is no damage/scoring where the fitting is to be installed.
Mark on the pipe to the required minimum insertion depth, as shown in the table above.
Chamfer the pipe, both internally and externally using appropriate tools.
Lubricate the internal seals around the annulus. Prior to installation, drain the excess fluid. 4

Undo the locking nut until 4-6 threads are visible.
Insert the fitting onto the pipe up to the internal stop. The insertion depth mark will become visible after the locking nut is tightened.

Firmly tighten using the approved Plasson Wrenches. The insertion mark shall align with the nut. NOTE: The locking nut may not meet the fitting shoulder when fully tightened.
Should the locking nut and insertion mark not align, simply unscrew and retract to confirm that the Grip Ring is in the correct position.
Following use, visually inspect the internal sealing rings for dirt or debris and if present remove by rinsing with water and then drying. Store fitting safely for next use.
